Awesome, i just rebuild RLI 8 with FRL of 0 (i dont know why it was set to 1 anyways, maybe i was reading something wrong) and now it works. You guys are the greatest. I owe you a million thanks. I was losing sleep over this stupid thing.

So i will have to out all my inbound trunks and rebuild them with a NCOS of 1? could i just change FRL to 0?

With 6 as the NCOS, i still get the busy tone.

so i change the NCOS on my trunk card 13 0, NOT on my inbound? and what do i change it to? 6? anything but 0?

the fax server is attached to a "faxboard" which converts the trunk to analog line i believe... I am not too familiar with the hardware. but it works internally, so all signs point to the PBX then. Here is a picture of the fax setup.

I set up a quick acd with NCFW with the ACOD, it still does a busy tone.

is there anyway just to disable that feature instead?

ok here is a strange thing. i had xxx-xxx-4020 going to my test acd. i know this number works from the outside. i outted the ACD from this number and then did a dsc to it to my RLI. it rings busy.

where would i build that at?

well we own 4000-4099. supposedly. but i wouldnt be surprised if someone laxed on newing some of our lines. let me try and find another set of ranges.

ok we are like 95% there. i get the fax tone when i dial 4080-4089 internally. but still get busy tones for external calls.

ok. well the fax server was used with our old PBX (same kind, just less TNs and a slightly older build) and i copied the configuration exactly from that pbx to mine, only changing the routes #'s, rli #'s and card #'s of course. just called and got this... so i guess im 75% there! lol

no worries, i would be lost without you guys. when you say towards the far end, what do you mean by that? Leaving the but set where it is (on the punchdown of 13 00) and try to dial 4080?
