    To remove the existing statement just type no [copy/paste the line from config] just let it use ****** instead of the key, that worked on my 506E

    I have a PIX 501 that crashes if we make config changes using http access. If we are on site and make the changes at the console it fine. Otherwise we have to powerdown and reboot the firewall.

    I deleted it by writing no [line as shown in config] the password was still in ******* form, but it took it an only deleted that single line.
