I work daily with both WinXP and Win2k and I seem to have much more problems with WinXP then with Win2k. It's not unusuall that IE6 will generate some error and has to close on XP but I don't seem to have too many problems with Win2k. Is it just me or has anyone else had the same experience.

I have a very similar problem. When I first loggin it the everything works fine but the icons don't appear for the first minute. After that they come up. I checked the Task List and explorer.exe is running. Try waiting a couple minutes see if comes up.
