Just saw your post.
Maybe you have already achieved what you wanted, but anyway another tip never hurts.
I have done the same by using Sybase PowerDesigner. You will have to purchase it or get an evaluation copy from your local dealer.
Just create an ODBC to the AS/400 library, open...

JBradley, I tried out your option and it works beautifully. I got the ActiveX control from Mabry. The only problem is that our FTP ports are routinely blocked due to security reasons. Don't ask why but that's...
Hi all.
I need some help on how to call a RPG program through my VB application, passing a single string parameter.
At this point I do not need a return value.
I am using VB 6.0, connecting to AS/400 via Client Access Express.
Thanks in advance.
I need to know how I can call a RPG program through my Visual Basic Code. I also need to pass a parameter to the RPG program.
My set up here is VB 6.0, using Client Access Express to connect to the AS/400.
To load a tab delimeted file to DB2 is pretty easy.
First upload the text file to the AS/400.
The use the command CPYFRMIMPF (copy from import file). The parameters are self explanatory.
Please note that the character fields will have to have '' before and after.
