Hi all, I'm using Crystal Reports for .NET 1.1 in a web project.
What I need to do is export a subreport to CrystalReport format. I can do this successfully to pdf but when I export to a report I can't open the report. I get an "Invalid TLV Record" error.
Has anyone ever managed to export...

Thank you very much, you have been very helpful. I'm going to research if it is possible to include the two addins together in my installation package. I'm hoping that this will solve the problem.
Grrr...meeow [cat2]
Thanks again for your response.
The version of Crystal I am using is the bundles version that comes with Visual Studio 2003. I think that it's a scaled down version of Crystal 9.
Unfortunately I am unable to save the report as a CSV as that is not available to me in VS and the report has...
Thanks for your qucik reply Geoff.
I thought that too but I'm not so sure that that is the issue. This file has already been exported to an xls file and it is when it is being opened that the error occurs.
I have no idea where it got the file name crexel_en.xla from. I have not been...
Ok I have posted this in the "Business Objects: Crystal Reports 4 Other topics Forum" Group with no response. So I thought I might have more luck here.
I have an ASP .NET project that basically server reports to people in an intranet environment. After viewing a report, the user can export...
Ok so maybe this isn't the best group to post this question in. The more I reseach the more I think that this isn't a problem with Crystal Reports or ASP .NET. It may even just be a corrupted installation of Excel on this one machine. But has anyone had or heard of this particular error...
Hi there,
I have an interesting problem that I'm hoping someone can help me with.
I have an ASP .NET project that basically server reports to people in an intranet environment. After viewing a report, the user can export the report to either Excel or Pdf. I have come across and error when a...
Hi there,
I posted this question in the ASP.NET group but I think I might get more help here. I hope this reposting doesn't irritate anyone.
I have a project (written in asp.net 2003 c#, using the bundled version of crystal) that is primarily used to view, print and export (to PDF and Excel)...
I failed to mention that when the excel export gets called, the page that originated the request and all it's controls gets exported to excel and the error message is contained within a label from the page. The report viewer appears (as it does on my page in design view) as a grey block with...
Hi there,
I have a project (written in asp.net 2003 c#, using the bundled version of crystal) that is primarily used to view, print and export (to PDF and Excel) reports . Everything works 100% on my development machine and on a test machine at my client, but some people are getting errors...
I'm having a problem where I designed a report with a printer driver for a black and white printer. When I try and print on a colour printer it still prints in black and white even though it gets displayed in colour.
I'm using ASP.NET 1.1 and the bundled version of CR.
Can anyone help...

If anyone is interested, I think I know how VS decides which button will be the default submit button.
If you look in the html of a particular form the default will be the first one that appears in the code. I changed which button is the default by moving it's tag to the top and it...
I'll tell you why.
I've got a calendar on my page and instead of have to page through years of months to get to a certain date I've added a drop down with all the months of the year and a textbox that the user can type the year into. When the drop down changes the calander is automatically...
I have a page with three normal web forms buttons on it. When I press the enter key on the page the click event of the incorrect button gets run. Is it possible to either change which click event gets run or to have no click event run when enter is pressed?
Any help will be greatly...
yup set to 20 min there too.
I had made some changes to logging in to the project and deployed that this afternoon and my session problem seems to have disappeared.
Very spooky, I hope this problem doesn't pop up again as I still don't know what the problem was.
Hi there,
I have a project created in ASP.NET C# 1.1 on a WinXP machine running IIS 5.1.
I'm trying to run it on a Win2K machine with IIS 5.0. The program runs fine but sessions timeout after about 30 secs when I've set every conceivable timeout to 20 minutes.
Can anyone help?
Sadly this will not help me as I can never know how many rows and columns there will be in the report. [curse]
But thanks for your help anyway. Guess I'll have to consult my client and try and twist their arm a bit to have the average in the footer of the report. [yawn]
