I have a vbscript to create folders and then create virtual directories from those folders (based on a list of user names). I need a way to create Frontpage 2002 extension subwebs and make the users administrators of their own subwebs, using a script (hundreds of users). Any thoughts?

I have just setup a new exchange server, after a reinstall from a failed installation. I had issues with global address lists but installing the post sp3 fixes corrected the issue.
When I try to setup an Outlook client and click on check name, it responds with "The name could not be...

When you create a universal distribution group and then add it to the permissions on a public folder, it becomes a universal security group. I saw my distribution groups become security groups and the changed them back to distribution groups. The change did not take effect...
On my test server, I have public folders with permissions using distribution lists. Everything has been working fine for weeks. Until today.
Exchange seems to be ignoring the DL's, and only individual users can see the public folders. I can create new DL groups and they work, but the...
I need to create a custom Office XP cd to give to our employees, to hide the pidkey from them (we have volume licensing).
I used the custom installation wizard, from the ORK, and everything is fine except that the paths in the mst are incorrect. I need them to point to the root of a cd.

I suspect that your dns server doesn't contain the entry for your 2000 DC. Try using nslookup to check the domain of your 2000 DC.

c:\nslookup 2000dc.com
It should return the Ip address of all domain controllers in that domain...

Also, will our remaining win9x clients be affected? Do I have to install the AD patch for...

I am trying to find a way through a script to setup the home directory for users. When I use a script (using addusers) it puts the entry into the corect field (drive letter and the \\server\users\username), but it doesn't create the folder or permissions for the user. It works fine if I go...
I work in a k12 environment, and even though some users have grown dependant on email, for others its used for non work related communications. I expect that with the added calendar and other exchange features that more people will grow dependant.
I did receive "Mastering Exchange...
We currently use FTGatePro for our email, which is straight pop3 and smtp. The administration wants calendaring and collaboration added. I looked at Domino, thought it "looked" good, but I tried Exchange and it seemed like a breeze compared to domino.

LOL, you're right, I don't know! I have about 2 months to learn exchange inside and out, and training is out of the question.
I have a test server that I am learning, and I am having some success with the product. I am just worried about having only one server. I also worry about screwing...
