newfs and bad blocks
Thanks bfitzmai. I'm in a situation where the box is on the other side of the world and I can't perform a format. I can of course have a new drive sent out, but I was looking for a quick method of getting around this.- hcrump

newfs and bad blocks
Does anyone know if running newfs on a partition will mark bad blocks, so they don't get used again? I get the errors below occasionally and I just run newfs on the partition, restore that specific data and keep going. I can't really reformat the drive as I'm running things remotely. just...- hcrump
