hi all... which is the diference of using dedicated server or shared server? And how can I change this from one to another. is it faster the performance of database, if someone could help me would be great.

thanks I changed the name of the database server to the IP address and it is working well so far. It seem there is another machine with the same name of the server in the network. thank again

yes it`s runnig and sometimes I can tnsping but sometimes cannnot. It seem to hang (the tnsping) but then tells me: tns-12535: TNS: operation time out. is there a way to fix this?

hi, I´m not sure but I red once that oracle IAS can´t be installed in the same server that the database is placed even if you install it in a different Ora_home.

I think that it should be installed in its own oracle home different than 9ias. also I red once that 9ias should be installed in different server.
