    although a very basic idea many of the usb sticks are driverless. Anything it needs to set up takes about 5 seconds so would be fine for most machines. I use a 256mb version by disgo which is driverless and I'm pretty sure i spotted others that were driverless as well. Andy

    Sadly I tried that and it made no difference at all. I could i guess roll the system back to a time before the software was installed and re-try.

    Hi I've happily plodded along in the past on my hp machine and burnt both audio and data cd's. The drive though is a combi cd writer and dvd writer I've just downloaded and used dvd fab and burnt a dvd which worked perfectly. the older cd-r discs still work fine in the sep dvdrom drive...
