This would work for column B, adjust cells reference for other columns.

Sounds like you are embedding the XL file inside the PPT, i.e. copying and pasting. Unless the Mac has access to the same Excel file and displays it identically, it will cause problems.
What happens if in Excel you hold down the SHIFT key and then go to EDIT and COPY PICTURE, and paste that...
Did you also reinstall the specific Printer driver?
What do you mean by "replaced the cord"? Physically the electrical cord of the printer to the printer? Or the connecting cord between the printer and the computer?

And the ALT key for Windows is often the same as OPTION key on Macs (not always - which you will learn).

I don't think it is "Type 1 TTF". Rather, it is either Postscript (PS) Type 1 (which fits with your missing the bitmap), or it is TrueType (TTF) (which doesn't need the bitmap).

Outlook for Mac 2001 is an OS 9 program. Thus, it must be running in Classic rather than OS 10. I wonder if it might not be better to upgrade to the latest Entourage 2004 (part of Office 2004) which is native OS X.

I think iWork is a beginning of a process to eventually include a spreadsheet (and maybe a database?).
However, there are three spreadsheets for OS X right now:
Mariner Calc
Mesa
ThinkFree Office (java-based)
I had reviewed each of them, and I like Mesa and its handling of data. The problem...
Dreamboat on Word has instructions on how to do this. I don't have it with me, so can't reference the chapter/pages.

Are you using a mouse/wheel/trackpad that is not Apple?
I found that my Kensington Wheel with Four Buttons would not allow it to start up from the CD. Once I hooked up the original mouse, it started from the CD just fine.

Check the last used cell for each sheet. Hit CTRL + END. If it is wildly different than what you know to be the limits of your data, it might be filled with extra stuff. To delete, go to one column to the right of the last column, use CTRL + SHIFT + right arrow, to select all these cells, then...
Try these at Apple. They also have a discussion forum for AppleScript.

Although I use Windows at my day job, I use Mac only at home (14 years) and for preparing college teaching material. I have never had a problem with cross-platform work. I have exchanged Excel, Word, and PowerPoint files with those using Office 2002 and Office 2000 on Windows and run them on...
Try this for a start. Amit Singh works for IBM, but uses Mac OS X as his primary system. This might be more technical than you need, but he covers a wide range of topics:
