    Thank you all for your prompt response I believe this adaptec card is not compatible with my motherboard. I have been using the Standard USB1.1 since its inception. Today i changed to a Dynex USB 2.0 and all is well The adaptec PCI USB 2.0 did not come with any drivers on the CD, only PDF files...

    I have a dell 8200 which is USB 1.1 I have put in an adaptec Duo Firewire/USB 2 PCI card however it is not being recognized as new harware. Any help?
