"Usually" is a big word. Ive taken other tests with prometric and at those places they were very professional. As far as kids go, I dont care if theyre in the workplace or not, just as long as they dont get in the way. I got what i wanted, but I really feal bad for other people who...
I dont mind retesting, it was alot easier than i thought it would be. I just dont want to have to pay for it again. Plus i took some time off work to study. Anyway Ill just have to wait and see what happens after the holidays. T J

I went to take the exam today and had a really bad experience. I showed up early and ended up taking the exam an hour late because of "technical difficulties". (Testing computers kept on crashing) After helping the net admin trouble shoot one of the PCs, I finally got one PC to load...
Actually that was for something else, but the routing table is not looking like it should. <-- Iam not really sure what that is :) but I think it would be easiest to shut down s0 since iam not getting too much bandwidth from it anyway.

I change the routing protocol back to RIP v2 and its still the same.

I have two routers connected B2B (R1 and R2) using both serial interfaces on each router. S0 clock rate is 148000 and S1 clock rate is 4000000. Routing protocol is EIGRP.
R1=DCE
R2=DTE
Because of cabling issues I cannot increase the clock rate on S0. The problem that I have is that R2 sends...
Thanks for the advise svermill, I have 3 routers on my network and no hubs or switches. So for me to sniff any dhcp packets on the router interface would be pretty hard. I did a quick search on google and could not find a relevent way. Let me know if you know of an easy way of sniffing packets...
Router(config)#in s1
Router(config-if)#mtu ?
<64-18000> MTU size in bytes
or to set mtu per protocol,
Router(config-if)#ip mtu ?
<68-1000000> MTU (bytes)

Why would someone want to use MTU over an interface? What is the reason for limiting packet size? Wouldnt this put more overhead on the router and cause network traffic to slow down or even drop packets that cant be fragmented?

Would the command (debug ip dhcp server packet) give the same results as the sniffer? Or is the sniffer the best way to go about finding out why the cisco router does dhcp different than the netgear router? T J

Thats weird b/c i get the same ip when ever i use any other client (netgear, win2k, xp, etc) besides the cisco router. Even when i release and renew on windows machine, i still get that same ip. I wish i knew the reason so i could use that method for my router.

I really dont have much in configuration of the router. Actually Iam pretty sure I have it misconfigured, but this configuration that I have now was the only one that worked.
This is the config that I have now.

I have a cisco router connected to a cable modem using dhcp. Everytime I restart this router I get a different IP address, but if I connect a netgear router or any other device (PC, Laptop etc) I get an IP address that has been the same for a few years now. Which I think it should be called...
