    Have sussed it .... need to divide the frame rate (playing around with 1/5 or 1/8 of the original) then also need to "blend frames"...unless thats what you originally meant...ta

    Thanks...although I think that just shortens the clip. The effect I am trying to achieve is the slow-mo effect like the first battle scene in Gladiator which is in real-time but looks slow-mo because they are only showing every third or fourth frame ....does that make any sense ?

    Does anyone know how I can show every 2nd or 3rd frame (etc) of a video clip without having to slice it up ?

    EXPorting 2:30 min video at 550mb!!!!!

    I cheat and drop my files into MovieMaker and create a wmv file for playback on the PC...got a 700mb avi down to about 80mb wmv.
