maybe you are installing lilo to the first part of your root partition (letssay /dev/hda1) while theres still a corrupted loader in the mbr the corrupted mbr loader would load first and could thus give such a result. even after repeatedly rerunning lilo grts- denthijs

How to play .swf Flash movies
netscape, i think, can't play embedded objects if they are not actually embedded in html. i veen think this is the same on both windows and linux. so just put some object/embed tags round it and it should just work like a charm. you said that it displayed it like a lot of gibberish, .. so i...- denthijs

can't install red hat
don't use the graphical installer , . use the text based (choose text at login prompt) . or better yet grab yourself a copy of suse, slackware or debian- denthijs
