REWIND......
What i really want is to have a message template that I can put a variable in for the date so that Today's date shows up in the SUBJECT.
Subject: VoiceMailbox <2008-05-06>
I can not find anywhere a list of variables that I can even try.
Assistance is greatly appreciated.
My first idea on this would be that when 2007 users save the templates, it is like Word and Excel to ENCRYPT the document by default. Doc file are saved in .docX and excel are saved .xlsX, so my guess would be that these templates are .msg and if not .msgX they are encrypted as such.

It's been a long time since I've done HTML.
Just trying to get a simple signature file working so that an every day user can edit the file to put their name, title, and address in without messing up the html formating.
I'm not even sure how to get the variables to work either.
example in code...
SeasprayO,
I need all of the existing NTFS Permissions in tact, with the exception of the UNKNOWN permissions that have been lingering for a few years since we've decommissioned old domains.

...like it's working, but when I check the permissions on some files/folders they have not changed.
(all one line below)
subinacl /subdirectories D:\*.* /cleandeletedsidsfrom=MyDomainName
Any Assistence on this will be greatly appreciated. There is no way that I can possibly do this manually...
I just went through setting up TS with the assistence of MS myself. One point that they made was that if you are running BOTH TS2k and TS2k3, your license server MUST be on a 2k3 box. MS Clearing house can help you properly set up your license server for FREE and migrate all your existing...
I have a problem getting rid of OLD file permissions. It's not that I can't remove them, it's that I need to remove them from about 120GB worth of files. Uuuuugh... The problem stems from an old domain that was set up several years ago and trusts between the two domains were established...
Just went through the licensing thing myself here. IF your terminal server is Win2K and even if you are in application mode, if the client is Win2k PRO or WinXP Pro, you do not need a MS Terminal CAL License. This is NOT true if you upgrade to Terminal Server 2003.
-SWarrior
how about something simple like adding the path location to the path statement in the environment variables section of the PC that you're running the shortcut from ??
-SWarrior
marcdmac,
That is incorrect information. Only XP Pro that was purchased prior to 4-24-2003 came with a "Complimentary" 2k3 Terminal Services CAL.
Here are the facts that even I was misinformed on DIRECTLY from Microsoft themselves.
1. Win2k PRO & WinXP Pro do NOT need TS CAL's when...
Here is another thing that you probobly forgot about. Since you are going to put a 2k3 DC into your root, you now need 2k3 CAL's for EVERY machine. Personally, If you need to just replace the server, I'd downgrade the license and use it as a 2k DC. your 2k cals will not work to connect to the...
Just did this myself.
Yes, that is the best way.
First you install the License service on your new server, then activate it, install your licenses ( all of which can be done ONLINE) and then after your licenses have been successfully installed, just go to your old server and remove the...
Ghost images are a VERY VERY bad way to try to save yourself some installation time.
The ONLY way to successfully "Ghost" a system is to create a BASE install with NO applications, do NOT join it to the domain, and then use the utility SysPrep to prepare the install for system change. When...
