That will never work. In ech domain you would have a different computer account (SID) for each tablet.

Well, whatever solution you choose, keep one thing in mind, a server with 2 power supplies normally does lad balancing between the two supplies.
Meaning, if you place one on a UPS and for example the other one not, and the one NOT connected to the UPS fails, the one connected to the UPS will...
Yep, You need to install the shutdown agent on every server.

I do not think a Sniffer will help you in this case, ICMP is ICMP, you will need some additional tools to see witch processes are using ICMP locally on the server.
You can find out a lot with process explorer (procexp.exe) from Sysinternals. This shows you witch process is connected to witch...
...other never show up at the server while the clients software shows it is managed by the 10.x server.

why not? You can only scan the one machine you need, and increase the time between the pings to prevent loads of network traffic, if that is the issue.
This is the same as pinging the 65k ports on the machine.
Robbie
why not use a simple port scanner like superscan for that? If you hit an excisting port, the machine will reply and you will see in the scan log that the port excists on that machine.

...plug in a sniffer there to see what traffic is passing during one of these unhappy events.

It won't work with an image.
We tried the same action with a sysprep image created on a G3, but the SCSI Controller (6i on a G4, 5i on a G3) creates a BSOD on startup.
The only solution we had was building a new image.

Robert
hmmmm, everybody is a little right,
An AP is a layer 1 and 2 device. On the wireless site it acts more or less like a hub (Layer 1), but the sending and receiving of wireless frames is controlled by MAC frames (Layer 2). Further it does bridging to the wired LAN (again Layer 2).
If you look...
great brittain pounds probably..... ;)

If I should calculate this to our couple of hundreds of licenses, the price goes sky high.
