I have tried deleting the Dial-up connection, deleting Dial-up Networking, have checked "Save Password", not checked Connect Auto.<br>
BUT I will give it another shot, and start at square one.<br>

I have only one dial-up connection, it is the default and it still does not retain password info. Could using a 0 (zero) as the first digit be causing the problem? If so, I will have to contact my ISP to have it changed. Never heard of any particular digit causing a problem with passwords.<br>...
I am using IE4.0. My Dial-up connection will not retain a 7 digit password. I've tried:<br>
IE4.0<br>
- View Options<br>
- Connections<br>
- "To change settings..."<br>
- Selected "Connect using modem..."<br>
- "Settings"<br>
- Entered password<br>
- Clicked...
I had the same problem, checked EVERY program, every possible setting, no luck. I then removed all dial-up connections, and re-booted. A window came up saying there was no connection set, and a check box to un-check automatic connection. But after setting up a conection, the same window was...
...you need to uninstall BOTH versions of IE (if you have not already uninstalled IE 4)including ver5, reboot, then reinstall v5.<br>
OR find WEBCHECK.DLL, copy it to the same directory, rename the old one to *.DL_, rename the new one to *.DLL, then try the program. This does not work all the time.
I am having a problem cutting and pasting text from any word processor or text editor to IE 4.x web site page such as applying for a job and pasting a resume and cover letter. I could not cut from the same entry screen and paste to the same entry screen.<br>
Any ideas?<br>
Every time my computer boots up, IE4.0 wants to automatically connect to the Internet. The Cancel Auto Connect box is not accessible, and I can not find where to shut it off. I've tried deleting my dialup connection, re-booting and checking the cancel auto connect box when it tries to connect...

Any time I try to use a template in WordPerfect 7.0 that has address fields, I get message that the address book has not been set up and I need to go to Tools - Options - Preferences and chose an address book, but this never works; no change takes place. I have re-installed Corel, no change.<br>...

Thanks for the info; I did re-install the server software and everything is working OK. The only backup needed went onto a hard drive via a work station on Win 3.11 accessed via bindery connection. No Win 95 WS would connect this way, any ideas?<br>

PaulS again, decided to re-install Novell server. Got to the point where it asks about re-partitioning the HD or keeping the non-Novell partitions intact. I choose the latter and arrived at the authentication screen, entered the info and could not get it to authenticate.<br>
Any ideas?<br>

Customer server went down, and as each user logged out, could not log back in. Server boots up OK until it loads Arcserve 4, then unloads ARCSERVE.NLM. System cache info shows caches at or near 100%. Ran DSREPAIR several times to get errors down to 3. Work stations running Windows 3.x can...
I have a modem that keeps ringing when attempting to connect to an internet provider. Dialing the provider by phone makes a connection after the first ring. Any ideas for changing the settings?
Is there any way to set-up a timed purge in Novell 4.xx? i.e. purge files older than 24 days, rather then trying to remember to do this and spend umptine hours watching files scroll up the screen?<br>
Thanks<br>
