I can't believe I am posting after all this time. I thought by now they would have a new phone system.
We had a user who forwarded all calls to his cell from ext. 2177. I need to undo this. However, the extension line doesn't exist at the moment because of construction. Can it be done via MOC...
Is there a log somewhere on the system of outgoing calls. We have an extension somewhere that keeps dialing a 877 number. The person on the other end is quite upset. I think someone is hitting redial or some other accidental key combo and calling this poor woman.
Melanie
No hunt groups or any other groups so we can cross that off. I'll check on the DND tomorrow.
I thinks she accidentally forwarded her line instead of the Virtual Extension (a button on her phone) to the pastor on call's phone and couldn't cancel it due to a callback. She only noticed it...
Since I am remote I connected via modem to the phone system. Through MOC I looked at
Command (f9) = 800
800>0>NONE
801>0>NONE
I am sure I am doing it wrong. This 0 for receptionist has worked for years. Not sure why it stopped.

Spent all morning trying to figure out what is going on. I thought a callback had been put on the receptionist's extension by accident. Had her Speaker #1 it five times to cancel any call backs first since this seems to be a continuing problem. #5, #6, #7, all say restrict.
Inside calls dialing...
On our old NEC 200 IPS I have several DID lines. I have about five that were originally assigned to analog phones or fax machines that are no longer being uses. If I try to reassign the numbers to digital extensions it doesn't work. I use the 7600 command to find the conversion block and the...
Since neither is willing to spend anything the phone page group is the way to go.
I am not clear as to whether there are multiple page groups. When the system was set up all the digital extensions were added to the all page group (around 60 extensions) At least 2/3 had me remove them from...
Ozzie,
The school classrooms have a PA system. The classrooms (PreK) that use our adjacent building do not. Since the school is on our phone system anyway and these 4-5 classrooms have extensions in them I thought this would be the best solution. There is no way to connect the two building...
We share our phone system with a Pre-K - 8th grade school. In the past two years the school has expanded taking some classrooms in one of our buildings. A recent armed robbery near our campus left the school without the ability to talk directly to the preschool classrooms in our building (they...
Well, it seems someone climbed over the fence to the electrical building, broke in and turned off all the power to the entire campus.(Likely thinking it would shut off the alarm system - there isn't one). Then this brainiac took a 16 ft extension ladder and used it to climb onto the roof -...
Well the saga continues....I emailed the directions to my contact on site to have the above steps (using volt meter) tried. He calls me and says the reception area analog line is now ringing. He was on his way to meet maintenance there to test the phone jack on the courtesy phone. He was going...
I am back in Atlanta but I can get the testing done if someone can tell me what a PSU is, what it looks like and what a KSU is. In relation to the PSU where are the fuses. If need be I can have a photo take of the pbx and you can tell me where to look.

Well I finally did an onsite visit to fix some of the computers. I wasn't even thinking about the phones but the analog lines do not ring (all of them).Nec model DTR-1-1(BK)TEL
They do ring off site (I brought one home).
Any troubleshooting ideas?
Well the onsite guy could not find any batteries in the phone. Now he realizes that ALL analog lines including fax machines that are part of the system aren't ringing. We cut over at the end of the year to Comcast as the carrier. I am not sure where to even start. We have two fax lines that...
