My advice would be to seek out some of the more useful VB books available on Amazon or other such bookstores,
I Started in 1998 with Learn Visual Basic 6 in 21 Days, then Platinum Edition - Using Visual Basic 6,
then the VB6 Black Book and Database Programming for Visual Basic 6.
These (apart from the Black Book) are in a Learning Curve Format which is very good...
