its a shortcut not "ink" but "LNK" ~ "lnk" .
if someone has sendt you a shortcut file via
email you have no possibility to open it ,as it or a may say was pointing to a folder/file on the senders pc.
Perhaps the sender clicked on "Add attachment" in her/his e-mail client, browsing to a SHORTCUT for e.g a JPEG file, rather than the file itself.
