Ok I finally found a solution to this issue and it worked great!
The problem is, the Mailbox GUID associated to the mailbox you are trying to recover is not the same as the user you recreated in AD. (even though the userid is the same)
Here is a way to get around this:

I restored an older mailbox store to my Recovery Storage Group. I mounted the recovered database and ran Exmerge hoping to recover a single users mailbox to a PST file.

Thank you for all of your help...I did not have all of the necessary ports open on the firewall to allow replication between the DC's. The issue is now resolved. Thank you.
Sorry I did not word that very clear...but I actually have a backup of the mailstore...but I only want to restore two mailboxes that no longer exist in the current mailstore. (At the time the backup was created I did not have the brick level backup only the database level.) Can I use these...
Hi All,
I need to restore two mailboxes from an old backup. The only backup I have is a Database Level Backup. Can I restore the database to exchange and then restore the mailboxes without disturbing the current mailstore? Any help would be great!!

Hello,
I have a Windows 2000 server that is being used as our web server and name server. This server is not on the domain and is not in active directory. Can I enable Dynamic DNS on this server and if so is there any thing that I need to be aware of?
Thank you in advance!
Size of the .MDF file is 40GB...but should be around 5GB now that the table has been deleted. What is the correct syntax for the dbcc updateusage command...it did not work for me?
To remove the table I just right clicked and deleted table from within the management studio...is there a better way that I should have done this? Any other suggestions for getting the size to reflect the correct size of the DB?
the initial size was around 3Gb so that does not seem to be the same issue...is there some maintenance or indexing that needs to be done to resolve the size of the DB?
Thanks!
