Of course I'm familiar with burners :) I use Nero; nero isn't detecting the CD-RW as a Cd burner, and in my computer in says just like the other, "CD-ROM"- Zx3

CD-Rom problems!
Whooo... half way there. It got the comp to recognize the drives now (Thanks!) but it only sees my burner as a cd-rom drive rather than a cd-rw drive. How do I fix that? I've unisntalled/reinstalled a few times. It's a polaroid burnmax, didn't come with drivers, and there are none to speak of...- Zx3

Windows XP. I did try removing one, still nothing. Neither work. It's just weird... they worked, now all of a sudden they don't- Zx3

CD-Rom problems!
Hello all, I'm new to the forum-- Several days ago I turned on my computer to find that my CD-Rom drives are no longer being recognized. I'm not sure what happened, as just the day before, if not the same day, I was using them just fine. I have a compaq 40x cd-rom and a polaroid burnmax 32...- Zx3
