    Cool, thanks. I've just checked and the connection is a 'managed CPE router, 1000base LX SC-Duplex' connection. So I would need an LX / SC GBIC then? I don't have any GBICs at the moment.

    Just some advice, on our Cisco 4500, we have a blade with 2 Gigabit fiber ports. We have a new ISP who is going to present it's connection as fibre as SC The ports on the blade look like rectangular slots, do I need to use a GBIC? Thanks in advance!

    Ahh LES, so that's what it is, thanks. Because it's providing WAN services over ethernet, would it use any routing? Could it be a routing or switching issue? Cheers Mike
