Access Database - 450 MB, 700000 records - Time to upgrade? To what?
I would suggest SQL server. Visual Basic is a great language to use with databases. WROX has a great book called VB6 database that has helped me in many times of need.<br> <br>- zazz

Large Databases
I believe that if everything is set up correctly then changeing the tmeout will work. If you application is still booging down then I suggest dumping you data into a heavy duty database such as SQL Server of Oracle. Access is a great database but with that many records your queries are bound to...- zazz
