My HP vectra's model is so old that i can't enter the bios without boot disk if you read the old messages of this page you can find all specifications of the model. Best regards

My case is a little bit different than yours, for me the problem is to enter the bios setup for this i need boot disk, so if you have it please upload it to me.

I identified the problem. It was caused by a battery problem, it was empty, so when i get into the setup aand changed some paraùeters, when saving to the CMOS there was no enough energy outputed from the battery to memeorize information to the CMOS. So the computer doesn't recognize all...
it's not a problem of jumper because it was running^perfectely since i entred setup and redetected all periferics so the system requested to reboot and since that time the was the problem which i described to you.
this computer was commanding 3 Big machines of automatic electronic components...
i have a similar problem with a HP vectra ES when it boots it doesn't detect the hard drive and suggest system disk the problem is that i don't have a system disk. My Rom Bios system is by Phoenix Technologies, Ltd Version B.02.02ES.
