boot from CD on RS6000 -aix
44P is old system. If OS is not installed this system will boot only from SMS Diskette. After booting from SMS follow menu and choose to boot from CDROM, and then reboot system. -

Install bos.up.... and drivers for adapters on 44P on H70, and make mksysb. -

If this disk the same as hdisk0 it mins hdisk1 is bad. -

160m tapes are for 7GB tape drives. If your tape drive is 5GB 8mm tape drive you have to cover corner hall on side oppozit off protertor. -
mksysb not installed on server
Install bos.data ( Base Operating System Data )from AIX OS media.
