    Requesting user rights programmatically?

    Hi! I'm trying to hide or disable buttons(upload,edit,etc...) in the shared documents section of a sharepoint site by using user rights to determine which buttons they can see. But i can't seem to find any way programmatically to do this, any ideas? I'm coding in c#. Thanks a million! y2k
