    Cisco 1841 with 2 WIC-1ADSL?

Yes, I can configure it, but the issue is, I have 8Mbits to play with (as per doc), TOTAL, when I need at least 10 down + 1.2 up. (5 megs down x2 and 600k up x2). If I set the first ATM interface to 5.3down/1up, then IOS errors out when I try to set the second interface (because I'm going...

    Cisco 1841 with 2 WIC-1ADSL?

Hi all: I'm looking for info on the 1841 router. I am trying to find out if it will support 2 WIC-1ADSL cards, at full speed? My problem is that currently, I am using a 2621XM, and the way the SCC works, I am only allowed to use up to 8Mbits, shared across the 2 cards. Because the minimum is...

newb question, connecting 2 routers. home CCNA lab

    >Ha ha---if it were the "no shut" command, then the interface >would be administratively down, and the other side would >be down- Duh, dunno why I didn't get that. Good call, that'll teach me to reply in a hurry.

    c837 vs. 2621 non-xm

I should have said that I have BOTH in my possession already, and I can get BOTH to work with my DSL (I already had a DSL modem running in bridge mode). So it's just down to features and reliability. Thanks for your reply!

    c837 vs. 2621 non-xm

Hi all: I have the choice of using both these routers for my home setup. Aside from the obvious differences (837 has integrated dsl modem and 4 port switch), which one would you use? My network at home is all gigabit into a seperate switch, which is then run into the (2621 or 837) for...

    Cisco 837, reclaim webflash: space?

That sucks... Is it just the dram chip that is different, or are the boards physically different? I might be convinced to take the soldering iron to it and replace the dram chip(s). (I did that with an old palm pilot).

    Cisco 837, reclaim webflash: space?

No wine by default I think (I might be wrong on this) but it can easily be added I'm sure. It's all moot now as I've ordered flash to max out the 837. One odd thing I noticed while looking to upgrade ram as well is that there is a 16 meg stick of RAM installed (that's what the label says...

    Cisco 837, reclaim webflash: space?

I'm using ubuntu. But in all honesty, I'd rather pay up 50$ to upgrade the router flash, be able to use the latest IOS, and install the tools on there instead of using up 20 gigs of my hard disk to install vmware+windows+whatever else is required only to run SDM? Especially since it's only for...

    Cisco 837, reclaim webflash: space?

Does it run off Linux or MacOS? The docs seem to indicate otherwise.

    Cisco 837, reclaim webflash: space?

Or buy a flash/ram upgrade. I was on Ebay and it seems fairly cheap to get load up the 837 to the full 80/24 that it can handle. Thanks for your reply, looks like I won't be able to install it as-is.

    Cisco 837, reclaim webflash: space?

Hi there: I have a cisco 837 onto which I'm trying to reclaim some flash space. otto#sho flash: System flash directory: File Length Name/status 1 9092996 c837-k9o3sy6-mz.123-11.T10.bin [9093060 bytes used, 3227704 available, 12320764 total] 12288K bytes of processor board System...

Cisco 837, flash error messege. Cause for concern?

Not sure I understand the unix box comment? I think it had a config on it when I got it, but I reloaded it with the config reg to 0x2142, configured it from scratch, and reset the config reg to 0x2102 after saving the new running config into startup config. Again, just to be clear, there is...

Cisco 837, flash error messege. Cause for concern?

Nope, it does not crash, it is as stable as can be! I can't see the crashinfo file in flash, and as far as I can see, there are no instructions in the config for debug or crashdumps. Am I better off just reformatting the flash and starting from scratch?
