Wow! Thanks for all the quick replies. antoineh, If i can do it without using VBA then all the better... The problem I encountered when trying to use a function like IF or SUMIF was that I was not getting a value for the checkbox when checked (maybe i'm missing how to do that...) SkipVought...

Well, the problem was fixed by doing two things but I am not sure that they were the culprits... 1) I reinstalled Windows 2003 Server but this time I did not use the Enterprise edition... 2) I only installed the roles I knew I needed. I think that the print and file server roles may have been...

Thanks for the response. Yeah I've tried both thinking the same, but no luck. Sometimes the connection stays on for 5 or 6 days and others it will go out in a matter of seconds after reboot... I'm very close to reinstalling W2K to rule out HW failure...
