You might try Placing the offending file in a new, blank document. Make sure the Link checkbox is NOT checked. If that doesn't work, go to the Adobe User to User forum (http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html)and search with the keywords Systemdict and/or userdict for several threads...- worker72a

Illustrator 10 - Collect Fonts and Images
I would like to invite anyone that might be interested to give my little plug-in a try. Scoop_X is an Adobe Illustrator 10 plug-in for Mac OS 9.x and 10.x.
