    Hi Martin Thanks for the reply mate. I've got the path sorted. Thing is, I have made an alias but then when I try to connect to the database I get the error: "I/O error for file "e:\datavol\memo\memo.gdb" Error while trying to open file unknown Win32 error 2" ?????

    Hi I searched for info on using triggers with IB but could'nt find anything. Have any of you guys used triggers (set up in the generators section I think??) that generate a unique number for each record you add to a particulare table? Any help much appreciated Ta
