Greetings All -
Windows Explorer in Windows 2000 was able to display a panel to the left of the file list in Detail View which contained information and a thumbnail of the file selected. One could see or play a file without launching it's app. I believe one had to enable Web view or something...
Greetings all -
Shortly after installing Office 2003, I tried right-clicking on a txt file in Windows Explorer and choosing Open With, expecting to see Word in the list as always ... It wasn't there so I click on Choose Program and looked for Word in the list of programs to choose from ... it...
Thanx, Maxe -
It is indeed too late - I turfed it and searched for and found a copy that was accompanied by the actual CUE file - but I'll keep that in mind for the next time.
Cheers, woggie
cdogg - When Nero finishes the burn it asks if you want to save, print, or discard the log of the burn - I always choose to discard it. Then it ejects the disc automatically. I re-insert it ... normally Windows would either auto-play it or would prompt me for the program with which to open the...
norty303 - Thanx much - I tried it and it appeared to work. No problems, no errors ... but Windows couldn't read the format for some reason.
bcastner - Thank you too. Again, it appeared to work fine but Windows wouldn't read it.
I'm thinking that the BIN file itself may be hooped.
Thanx for...
Thanx frenz -
Sorry - I misspoke - I actually have Nero 5.5, not 6.0, and it doesn't have such a thing as "Start Smart". Any clues for my version?
If I can avoid it, I'd rather not pay for the upgrade yet - or pay for Fireburner.
BTW, cdogg, I installed the demo of Fireburner and...
Greetings, all -
I've acquired a 700+ NB file with a *.BIN extension, supposedly suitable for burning to CD. I'm using Nero Burning 6.0 but there is no mention in the help system in the program of what this file is or how it needs to be burned in order to be playable. It is supposed to be a...
Hi all -
Just got & set up my dream machine (P4-2.4B, 1GB RAM, etc...) and I've heard all kinds of good stuff about Windows XP remote access.
I want to bring up my home machine in a window on my Windows 2000 desktop at work. I've looked through the stuff in the XP Help system but I'm not...
Hi kumar -
Be careful what registry keys you delete or change. If in doubt, leave it alone. Many have had to reinstall their OS because they "tried" something to see what would happen.
pjsilver's same advice to me in my thread "IE downloading and Java problem" helped me...
Hi reghakr -
And thanks again for your time and support.
The link to the Java VM build 3802 that you quoted goes to a page which explains that, for Win2K machines, the Java VM is ONLY available by installing the Win2K Service Pack 2 or a "Hotfix" (to which there is no link provided)...
Hi reghakr -
So is what you're saying that I should uninstall Internet Explorer altogether and then install IE5 and all the plugins that I've installed over the last few years, most of which, of course, I can't remember?
I don't think Win2K can exist without IE installed, can it? I'll bet...
reghakr - thanx for the effort but none of the methods you described worked to solve my problems. (Java VM was already up to date as it is included in SP2 which I have installed already.)
pjsilver - thank you! You've helped me solve half of the problem! I can now do those downloads! Those...
Greetings -
I'm having a problem involving a couple of different behaviours which I suspect may be related because they both started happening at the same time.
1. For those download triggers which involve linking to a page which starts the download rather than linking to the...
