    BES on Windows XP Pro/2000

Yes it can run on a workstation, I ran it briefly on a workstation before we could get a server setup. Just preform setup and it should run just fine.

    Same Authentication Key and Identifier

You can only have one online at a time. Build the new one with services disabled, then take the other offline and bring the new one online

What ports need to be opened on a firewall?

Port 3101 needs to be opened, once this is done, you can test it by bringing up a Dos window and going to Program Files\Research In Motion\Blackberry Enterprise Server\Utity Run the BBSrpTest and it should return a good test

    957's and BES 4.0

You should have no problems with 957's on a BES 4.0. You just won't be able to upgrade the handheld OS.

BES 4.0 and Outlook 2003 problem

If your e-mails are being directed to the .PST as well, that's your problem. The e-mail you read on the BB has been forwarded. When you reply, there has to be the e-mail in the inbox to action.

EC=5 There are not enough rights for user to complete this transaction

If this is a domain account, try putting the domain name\username, i.e. if you're user bob, in the xyz domain, instead of just bob in the security box, type xyz\bob then your password. Sounds like you shouldn't have to, I know, but I have to on some of my systems, even if I use Administrator.

Where do you add the serial Number in arcserve 2000

You must get the LicenseIT update from CA, running it is the only way to license, no serial numbers, no codes.

Use the Kill command from the NT4 resource kit if all else has failed.

    Backing up second Exchange Server

You have to have a mailbox on each server, with a different name and user account, setup identically. I have 4 exchange servers I backup, each has a unique mailbox and ID. I use EXSERVICE as the id used for the directory and information store...and the dbagent id for the Brick level.

Arcserve Client Agent for Windows 2000 Issues......

I've found that you have to change the connection login in 3 places. Once on the client system, once in each job submission, and when selecting the system in job setup. Do it in this order: Change (though you probably already have) it at the client system. Modify the job, open the first screen...

    IP addresss disappear

AS7 can manage a client via either IP or name resolution. If you have the box clicked, it will show 0.0.0.0, but the name will indeed appear. Shouldn't cause a problem, as that's how I have all mine setup and it works fine.

    How to deinstall arcserve completely?

You dont' way what version of Arcserve you have. But if it's ASO/Arcserve2000, just insert the CD, and click as if you were installing it...you will be asked if you want to remove it...answer yes, and it's gone. No reboot.

    Exchange BrickLayer Backup

In the FAQ they say that if the root of the Individual Mailboxes in Brick level is checked, all under it should be picked up...regardless of tiem of creation. If, however, you've de-selected any...new ones won't be picked up. Have you de-selected any?
