    I have managed to workaround this problem by stopping all Exchange services prior to rebooting. This has cut the shutdown time to 1-2 mins and no longer reports errors. It has to do with the fact AD services have shutdown before Exchange is aware and hence it tries to poll AD/Domain controller...
