Ok - I'm assuming your running Arcserve2000? Slot 7 can be designated as a cleaning slot in device setup, so that can be forgotten about (?) I would recommend that you set a new job up as a rotation one, and use a media pool - let Arcserve sort out the slots. Go to the media pools screen, and...- WilkesME

Reducing VLDB Physial size
Our VLDB database is now <shudder> 9gb!! I have altered pruning to be 14 days instead of 28 and then run the dbdefrag utility on all of the database types. This has not made one bit of difference! Anyone got any ideas? I'm running Arcserve2000 on win2k.- WilkesME

The "*" dictates that any suitable media found in that device group will be used. Suitable will depend upon how the job is set up, and the backup media options selected. Drop me your e-mail address and I'll try and elaborate. Mark- WilkesME
