Tried several time s to restore to earlier date, Restore runs, but at the end it says Unsuccesful and cant restore to this date, tried other dates, same thing. Windows XP 6 GB RAM, 40 GB Disk Space free
The compaq is the one i have the DSL Modem connected to, an is upstairs. I want to be able to connect the lap top with wireless router, an desktop continue to use Ethernet Connection. The Compaq has the Proxy Server configured on it, will that block the router from connecting to internet?

I have a Desktop Shortcut for Windows Explorer, I don't right click, I double click an it opens, all the scans have been utilized, even tried System Restore for an earlier date. Send a Windows Explorer Shortcut to your Desktop, it will click open.
Randomly Windows Explorer will crash when I click on it. Using Windows XP Home edition. When this happens some icons next to clock disappear. Thank you.

Mate, IE 6 is not showing up in the Add/Remove area, but it's still on the C Drive Programs Files, tried to delete, it said it was being used by another program

IE 6.0 is there, but so is all the setting and stuff that was the reason I wanted to clean install 7.0 is still there, everything in my History, Browser, and all settings, I wanted to start from scratch, is that possible? Can I get rid of IE 6 so I can clean install, from scratch 7.0...

I downloaded and saved to my desktop IE 7.0 from Microsoft. Was using Fire Fox in the mean time. I used Add/Remove Programs, and removed IE 7.0. I then used Windows Explorer to see if it had been removed from the "Program Files" on C Drive...

When I downloaded FireFox Browswer it had no impact on my IE 7.0. If I download IE 8.0, will it uninstall my IE 7.0, or cause any other problems?
