Another DirectX problem
Is this game by any chance Star Trek: Starfleet Command 3 (it may not be...)? If so, there is a fix for it, jsut search google. Do the same if it inst SFC3.- Whybecause

Windows boots but no icons are displayed
That happened to me - before I had to reformat and reinstall... I had a virus that only attacks .exe files - first, I couldnt play games...then I couldnt use the internet...then I got the symtoms that you appear to be having...(no icons). You may not have the same virus, but maybe something...- Whybecause

That stuff is information about what windows is loading in your AUTOEXEC.bat file. Firstly, why do you want to remove it? Secondly, I don't think you can anyway. :)- Whybecause
