Hi Greg, Thanks for the last message. Tape First Aid was in fact loading, but taking ages because it couldn't find an ADR drive. I've got a DI30 and have installed Onstream Echo although I usually use Ntbackup (which won't let me access the damaged tape). I can see the drive in Device Manager...- weztgit

Greg Thanks for the update on the link. It's unzipped as a 236KB exe file, but it won't run. (I'm on W2K). Any ideas as to what I could do? Thanks Simon- weztgit
