The expansion card was in the 3rd slot from the right. The problem was that I had removed it before powering up the system. I have 2 line cards and only 6 lines at this site. My BAD.........live and learn
I have a Norstar MICS that when powered up comes up in maintenance mode. At this point, I have found no way to get it out. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I will try this. It seems to show up more often then anything else. I can talk a customer through this but trying to tell a non knowing to open up a frad and short a cap is not what I want to do. I might do it if I was on site and all else failed.

Thanks..........I found the 2 faq's. I even have a third one that we tried with no luck. I will try these two and see if they work. I will post if one works.
Since I am not on site and have to talk customer through resetting the FRAD, I thought there might be a prcedure that I could have the customer perform. I can't find anything in my "friggin manual" about shorting out cap. What page is that on?????
I have a customer that has a FRAD that no one knows the password. Is there a reset procedure that can be performed so I can add the normal password and program the FRAD?

I have the 2 u units working half way. I found out late this afternoon that the telco suplier hasn't done all their programming. I will try your suggestion tomorow

I have inherited a system (MICS 5.0) that has to have a BRI-U2 card set up. I have the ISDN circuit numbers and SPID numbers for the circuits. The loops are to be used as voice only. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
