In Quark 4.11, Macintosh Classic, when I print a multi-page document, I am trying to print it in reverse order so that page 1 comes out last (on top of the stack) and I don't have to put the pages in numerical order by hand.
In the Printer... window of the Print window, I can check Reverse...
Jaquan,
When I do that, it comes out the same way as when I drag out an end with the Selection tool to make an oval shape--the middle points widen while the endpoints don't.
I found the best way to do it is to use the Ellipse tool and then Effects>Distort & Transform>Zig Zag and set the...
Jimoblak,
That's a help toward what I want, which is a long oval shaped starburst. After working with Radius and Point settings, I got the length of the V shaped points I want. When I drag the shape out to an oval, however, the points alter in their thickness and are different widths. They...
I work more in Photoshop and Quark than Illustrator. In Illustrator 10 (Mac OS X), how would I make a simple shape easily and symetrically (rather than creating with the Pen Tool), like the Star Tool but with more points like a starburst behind a text heading?
Thanks,

Jimoblak,
Thanks for your response. It sounds good, but I'm not understanding something. I've saved a selection and I see it there selected in the Channels palette under Alpha 1 (below the CMYK channels). I'm not sure what is meant to make a subselection of this selection. If I loosely select...
In Photoshop 6 or 7 for Mac, I have a couple of questions about making selections. Let's say I make a complicated selection around an image with the Lasso tool with 0 feather pixel setting. I save this selection so that I can use it again if necessary.
First, is it possible to make it a...
Ok, I figured it out myself (in case anyone's interested). First I learned how to do a Clipping Path in Photoshop. Select New Path in Path palette drop down, then Clipping Path, fill in a Flatness value, then draw with a drawing tool (I used the freeform Pen tool) around the image. Save it.
In...
Using Quark 4.0 on a Mac, I've been having image problems in a Quark document. I am bringing in scanned Photoshop TIFF greyscale images into text pages that the text wraps around. I have been using the Runaround setting using Type: Auto-Image, Outset: 8 pts and the default Noise, Smoothness and...
This probably answers my own question: Rename the folder (now with the TIFF formatted images) to break the link with Quark (missing images). Now they will update as TIFFs.
Using QuarkXPress 4.11 in a Mac OS, I am wondering if there is a faster way to change all the JPG graphics I currently have in my document to TIFFs rather then having to get the picture each time.
I see no way, for instance, to update them in Usage>Picture. Is there a way to do this through...
