There are two sites configured in AD Sites and Services:
Site A, Servers: PDC, DC1
Site B, Servers: DC2
Replication setting: Each DC replicates to the other two DCs.
We have 3 2003 DCs in two sites.
Site A has two DCs, a PDC (DNS) and DC1 (DNS, DHCP).
Site B has one DC2 (DNS, DHCP).
I noticed the following:
Site A:
When DC1 is shut down, the users will have troubles logging in. Generally, it will take very long time (15 minutes?) just to display...
Thanks Zelandakh:
I know it doesn't give too much sense to have two BBs... The reason given to me is the user wants a local number here and a local number in the Bahamas.
Unfortunately, setting up a forward account is not the solution. Both BBs must have real-time access and be able to update...
Hi,
Would anybody know a good solution for this scenario:
We have a user in Bahamas who travels in the US frequently.
The user has 2 Blackberries, one for the US (US provider) and one for the Bahamas (Bahamian provider).
On the BES, the limit is one email account for one BB; therefore, I need...
I know it is sad and am trying to change it. It will be a political issue, so I'm collecting the good reasons for a quick change.
As far as Windows mobiles and BBs, they do not download the full emails with images by default, so they are somewhat protected...
Thanks
Hi,
Please share your insight on the signature problem below.
A new signature designed by a marketing person is being deployed around the company. The signature is about 100KB. This makes even the smallest email over 100KB.
What are the implications on the email server storage space? Is...
Hi,
What software (preferably free such as Daemon Tools) I can use to create a virtual CDROM on W2k3 servers?
I need to install a few images and need to be sure the remote servers will work 100% (I had some troubles with CDROM emulators before).
Thanks very much for an answer.
The extra CAL is not desired, indeed. The question is how this plays with laptops configured for RPC over HTTPs.
If I understand it correctly, there must be additional secure IMAP connection in these laptop Outlooks.
We also use the ActiveSync feature for PDAs. If this is an IMAP connection...
Thank you for your response Mark.
We have IMAP4 disabled, so I will have to start with starting the IMAP4 virtual server I believe.
My major concern was Interactive Intelligence Communite voicemail plug-in we use in Outlook to control the telephony system's user voicemail box settings. It...
Thanks Mark. That sounds interesting. I'll do research to find out how this would work but please drop me a web link if you had any. Our communication environment is rather complex, so I have to thoroughly investigate this option.
Hi. Thanks for your answer. I see there is probably now way to set this up in Exchange without using another AD/email account
and forward, etc. or a third party tool.
Hi.
I have a few users who have several email domain addresses such as User1@blue.com, User1@green.com, and User1@brown.com.
All these email domains are managed by the same mail server,
Exchange 2k3 Enterprise.
User1@brown.com is the primary email address. Email destined for all these email...
The correct command to exclude the path is:
stsadm -o addpath -url http://127.0.0.1/SelfUpdate -type exclusion
The response to the command: Exclusions are not longer necessary. Etc.
I also tried to re-install WSUS2.0. The error re-appears. I'm giving up. I will install WSUS on another...
