I just came upon an organization with numerous problems with their backup solution. After reviewing BE9 software, they have no updates since February. Are there any hotfixes, patches, drivers, etc. that should be avoided? Any help would be much appreciated...thanks!

We're running 3.3.3 and skipped 3.3.2. The moral of my story is a Cisco bug with 7935 phones and the corporate directory failing. Basically, the xmldirectory.asp file is defective in 3.3.3 so I need a copy of the XML from 3.3.2. Bueller, Bueller? Anybody...please help...
I'm trying to create departmental directory listings (similar to Corporate Directory feature). This is easy enough to do with services. However, once added to the user's profile, the user can edit the actual entries as if it was his own PAB. I'm trying to secure the lists against this. On the...
Howdy...this software was recently installed (but not by me). In all documentation, it suggests you contact the administrator for this initial user ID. However, the installer is certain that this was never given. As the CCM is currently supporting x users, I cannot R&R the plugin. Any ideas...
Yes, that's exactly what I was after. The Cisco doc's were as cryptic as usual and said that it's only for 'defined' users as well as all users. Anyway, thanks much!
Yes, thanks...However, unless I'm reading this incorrectly, you must define a CTI DN for each user if you want the ability to send directly to their VM. Or, with wildcards, you can send to all users at once. But not in between? I'm (hoepfully) smokin' crack on this one, but afraid this is...
Nope...we're on CCM3.3(3) with Unity 4.0 Unified Messaging. I'm curious what the * points to, does it redirect to unity or some other form VM redirection that's built into CCM. I'll bounce around Cisco's cryptic site and see if anything pops out on the matter. THanks!
Oh, at the dialtone you hit * and then the extension? That would require setup within CCM, right? At the main dialtone, if you hit star it goes blank and after any number it rings busy. I wonder how the CCM pattern/filter was configured on your system?
Thanks for the assistance...any help is...
Enter *+extension from where? Within unity system I assume? That prompts me to login with my credentials (which then allows me to send a message, but it's 7 steps away).
I've done this with Nortel and non-VoIP based systems but haven't figured this one out. Basically, I'm after the ability to dial an extension to directly leave a VM for a user, not after ringing through to the voice mail and not after entering my UM box to "send" a message.

I just received the ata 186 adapter. It's great...it takes us back to the years of old with this wonderful new technology. I digress. The first line worked as promised. However, I cannot locate any prompt to allow me to insert a second line, only speed dials. I'm using ccm 3.3 so I should have a...
