I am trying to set up BIND to work as master DNS for my home LAN.
I am just using BIND, nothing else. No AD, DHCP etc.
I will also give to my home network domain name that is already in use by someone else in the world. I don't think that this is the problem because i will use that domain...

I have configured BIND to listen on 192.168.0.1 address.
Computer name: gatekeeper
domain: local.com (not registered, just for testing)
local net: 192.168.0.1
two net cards: LAN and wireless to internet
dns suffix: local.com
nslookup gatekeeper
Server: gatekeeper.local.com...
I have a XP PRO computer with two network cards. One card is conected to internet and other card is my home LAN. I am testing some web pages. That is why i have installed Apache, BIND and squid for XP. I have condfigured BIND and everything is ok. Reverse lookups are working also but some DNS...
