Yes - CPU usage does go high on any processor. That is the way the product is designed. On the same note, Symantec is a better bet because it neither uses so much memory nor does it freeze due to high CPU utilization.

Ensure that ports 42508, 42509 and 42510 are open. Before dicovery check if you are able to ping the machine. If the ping does not work then the discovery also will fail.
