Boot up problem....only gets to memory check then freezes

Cheers for the help so far.It's a new prob on an old machine and it happens every single time. Don't know how it happened could the jumpers have loosened themselves with movement of the P.C. or something like that?- veeb

I have a weird problem that I have never encountered anywhere before. i boot up my P.C. it recognizes the graphics card then the first screen comes up in about 3 secs. Says: AMD athlon(tm) 1050MHz Processor memory test : 393216k OK Award Plug and Play BIOS Extension v1.0A Then at the bottom...- veeb
