I am fairly new to Delphi and I have version 7 Pro. I am wanting to load jpg images from a pre chosen directory to a listbox, then use the onClick event from the listbox to open the image. The OpenDialog is not the route I seek as this is app is for my wifes business to view customer hair...
Blushing...Thanks guys. You know how when you were in school and thought, "I'll never need to remember this stuff as I won't ever use it in real life", well now more than ever do I wish I was a math expert! Without giving away my age (old), I just recently started programming in the...
Wraygun: Thanks for elaborating on the extra math in the functions you provided to get me through this. I guess it would be easier if I understood some of the math involved to obtain the answers with a calculator. It almost seems like surveyor math. Anyhow, like I told johnwm, I have found a...
johnwm: Thanks for checking the links and letting me know whats up. I'm not the most advanced when it comes to the math involved here but doing it is the best way to learn :) I will keep working at it but I have to admit, I found a class module that does just what I need. I still am going to...
John, Thanks for the quick response. Do you mind if I show you the equation here so you can see what I have to work with. I will give you the link and then you can see if what I have to work with, will work. First I obtained the PDF from the NOAA and it was confusing a bit so I looked and found...
Hi, I am trying to make a solar position calculator based on the details from the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). There are also internet based calculators and they use javascript to function. Anyhow, I have a one page sheet of the equation that I am trying to make a VB6...
tty0, Thanks for the links. I will download Ruby later as it seems to be slow right now. I will check it out though as it looks interesting. As far as the sunny afternoon in a pub method of learning...I am always reading my books every chance I get, whether it makes sense or not. Then sometimes...
ponerse: I must really look smart then as I have about 40 books on VB :) The problem is that they are great references but it takes so long to figure out which book has the info you need at the time, that you get sick of looking, and get on the internet. Each book seems to have good info but...
DrJavaJoe:
I just browsed through my library and I have that book! I guess I should read it huh? Sometimes I have the tools but don't know it :) Seriously though, I have looked through a bunch of my books but the ones I checked first must have confused me right away, and then it didn't get...
MichaelRed: Can you suggest a good one? I have all kinds of books here and have no problem buying more. Most of my books seem to have the chapter in the advanced section in the back of the book and sometimes, you just need a very simple example or two until it sinks in :) tty0 has done that here...
Ponerse, Thanks for the quick response as I am just trying to learn class modules as I found some code I needed, but it was in a VB class file. In order for me to get it to work, I have my work cut out for me :) so I am starting with the basics and moving up from there. The class file I have has...
tty0,
When I try the code as explained above it doesn't work unless I change the Private Sub subDisplay() to Public Sub subDisplay() in the clsMessage Class Module, so I wanted to make sure that I am correct.
Thanks,
vbdrk
Thanks guys, I found it already on cd #3 and installed it. Its version 4.5 or something fairly old. Then I realized I wasn't even printing a database file so it looks like I am going to have to create my own template the hard way with Print.Print arggggghh.
Thanks,
vbdrk
I have VB6 Studio Enterprise Edition and have just now started using some VB6 print methods. Thats why I am thinking Crystal Reports came with this package but I don't know where it is or how to set it up? Anyone?
