    CD-Rom drive not being detected, please help.

    I have a gateway laptop (Windows XP as OS)..........where the CD-Rom drive is not being read by the computer (for example, if you go to "My Computer" icon, you wont see any "D" drive.........) I tried this cd drive on another laptop and it was found without any problems, so...
