Hi,

Is ther any way to get Exchange to tell me if the...
Hi,
You can setup new account from within Exchange administrator itself, by going to the file menu and choosing new mailbox, and you can check mail be using a suitable client. i.e. Outlook or the Exchange client.

Thanks everybody for your help,
Cyklops was right, I wasn't logging on as the service account when I installed the backup agent. I did this and it worked straight away.

Hi,
I recently had to reinstall the Arcserve 6.6.1 agent for Exchange 5.5. Nothing about the Exchanges service account has changed, but when I get to the screen in the agent setup titled "Microsoft Exchange Account Information", and I put in the correct information, it comes back...
Check your versions, older versions of Outlook express can't use HTML. Haven't a clue about the missing attachment though, could be caused by the same problem
Check out some of the FAQ's in this forum, they should be most helpful with your problem.
The main thing to make sure of before you start restoring Exchange is to make sure the SAM and Security files on your test server are identical to the original server.
Hi Rich,
Thanks for your reply, No the hardware isn't identical, its a totally different machine, even a different manufacturer. The original server was all SCSI inside, with a disk array. The new server is IDE inside with an IDE hard drive.

Hi,
When one of the users at my company tries to connect using his Win2K pro machine, he sometime gets on and sometimes not, the cause of this is that in "local area connection properties", his client for Microsoft networks keeps unticking itself. I have never seen anything like it...
Hi,
My MD has Outlook 97, he has got his mailbox set to syncronize with a personnel file so he can read his mail offline. In the last week or so, he has noticed that 2 folders he deleted were reappearing, at first I thought he had accessed his offline mail and it hadn't sycronised yet, however...
I know this is an old thread, but I just thought that I would add that covertly monitoring users emails is actually breaking the "Data Protection Act 1998" and the "Human Rights Act 2000", unless you have up to date and comprehensive email policies in place. Which I recently...
