Another option which is a little more complex, is to setup another network segment.
We had an office somewhere, with a satellite office in Florida. Both were plugged into local networks, and those two networks had a VPN setup between them. only problem is, you neet Internet accesss and a...
I always go into CAT mode on the phone handset (Transfer, conf, *, transfer, conf, #) hit the Command button (on my dterm series E it is the leftmost one under the display, after you do this the display should read "Command="). I then type "E601" then the extension, then input 33xx, which is the...
Well, it's been a long time since I posted here- a couple of years, in fact. But, I cam back to tek-tips. They are so good, with so many answers.
Anyway, here is the deal. I'm a little more sseasoned since my last post, and know ALOT more about phone systems and voicemail and the like. Haha...
Okay, got the defrag set, but what do I need to point the task to for the restart? I mean what extension / path / command?

First off, my machines are all WinXP Pro Service Pack 2. So the idea is to run a script that reboots all the machines in an Organizational Unit every night night at say, 3 A.M. on weekdays, then prepare a startup script that once the machine reboots, the machine defrags. I like it. I don't have...
OK, I see how you could do it that way, but surely I'm not the only network admin out there what wants to do this. Thanks for the tip, though. I just don't want to have to download programs or zip files to my servers to enforce a domain behaivior. Any other ideas on how to do this?

Here's what I want, but I don't know how to implement it - I'd like to use Group Policy if possible. I want to force all the clients on a domain to run a defrag every night, then restart, or vice versa. I have to do this for basic maintenance and because the our domain doesn't remind you your...
I have an IVS2 as well, and the voicemail light with no voicemail issue can also be fixed be pressing "speaker" then 6 + 3 + 3. FYI.

Never mind the finer points. I used the command like you said and it got the job done. I'll sweat the small stuff when it actually becomes an issue. Thanks for the help. Us newbies need it.

But if there is only 1 phone assigned per slot, wouldn't this limit the system to 128 phones being paged? (0- 7 groups, 0-15 slots each) Or am I just missing the over all concept here? Is there a way to list them all at once, like using MATWorX or something?

Ok so I think I'm stuck. I can use the 5600 command and use serial numbers 01-03 to get extension numbers. but how do I scroll through what phones are in the paging group and how do I delete them? If you could explain all the details of this command a little further I would be eternally...
I'm not sure I want to do that. I like to do things the most simple and obvious, that way anyone coming behind me can figure it out. I.E., I leave in a year, the extension gets reassigned in a year and a half, and the person who replaced me can't figure out why the paging doesnt work on only...
Ok so here is the deal, running a NEC NEAX2000 IVS2 wih Dterm series E phones. We currently have internal paging set to comethrough the speakerphone portion, as long as the phone is not in use. We just moved four guys into one office, and everytime a page comes through, their four phones blast...

I'm back again. I have a station in MATWorx that refuses to delete. "Station deletion unsuccessful" - Any Ideas? Im using MATWorX 32 7.3.4.
