P.S. We are using Print2PDF 2003 (workstation, though there exits a server too) to convert documents (of any type that can be printed) to PDF. The main pro: you can use electronic signature files (bmp, gif) as "stamps" on the first, last or first & last page printed. The cons: Print2PDF 2003...
Forgive me if I am mistaken but, I believe Mas90 may have a built in PDF converter, accessible through print preview (see the export / mail icon).
The only problem for us is that the crystal report doesn't support linked image files (linked via html or equivelant) otherwise we would have the...
Well, the feedback I can provide for NT Server 4 running on IIS is that it can indeed work with the anonymous user set. A configuration of one of my tests harnesses can be observed below. The links are only temporary so as I down the server, I will try to upload a permanant screenshot folder...
that is interesting. Keep in mind theat the check box can be specifically set for individual files as oppose to sites only. It is usally set to IUSR_<YOURHOSTNAME> - check your list of users. This means that if it is unchecked for all the other pages of your site, then you can set this...
Ok, the last thing I can think of / excuse as to how you can open your web browser to the application such as http://localhost/myap.asp or http://the1hostcomputer/myap.asp and "browse" the contents of the database SUCCESSFULLY but then from another computer (workstation / client) open it's...
sakbar, yes, I know, that was just general info for the forum.
Relating to your newly installed 3.3 driver. Do you have that licensed or is it a demo / trial? Can you confirm that no dialog boxes appear when you connect through the driver?
Another update:
As per my experience, using the Sage/Best provided driver (not the updated ProvideX driver), my connection works with Driver=MAS90 32-Bit ODBC Driver BUT NOT with Driver=ProvideX 32-Bit ODBC Driver. They apparently may not be used interchangeably, at least with the older...
General update:
I learned today why my DSN-less connection would consistently fail in my asp application. I created a file DSN and viewed the contents using notepad to compare with the common method of implementaion. The first difference I decided to explore was removing the {} from the...
There are client/server versions that can be implemented as well but I don't believe they are required. In our scenario, we de do not want the client/server driver and have therefore only have the local driver installed on the web server containing iis / asp.
I think I ran into a similar error...
I had given up on this until about 8 months after my last post. I gave it another shot and actually got it to work with iis 4 / asp. We are using the standard, actually quite out-dated, odbc driver.
I tried several ways to get the updated providex driver (obtainable directly from providex)...
Keith
Your post gives me some hope and if worse comes to worse, I can setup Apache and try and get that going. I have tested many different methods for establishing access from my IIS webserver to my database but have failed.
Thank you for your response / testimonial of a successful...
P.S. Through previous error messages and stuff, I realize the the Mas90 driver is probably ProvideX based or provided however, 'ProvideX' is not the name / string that our system identifies for ODBC connection. It is 'MAS 90' and why I refer to is as different than the 'ProvideX' driver which...
